Announcing Sue's Spotlight Saturdays...

Hey everyone!  I'm starting a new feature on my blog in March called Sue's Spotlight Saturdays where I will be interviewing my fellow authors.  You can choose from a list of questions and include excerpts and links to your latest release.  Shoot me an email at authorsuelyndon @ gmail.com if you're interested and I'll email you the interview questions and available dates.

Any author is welcome here.  I don't care if you're indie or small press or whatever.  I also don't care what genre you write.  If you've seen my shelves on Goodreads, you know I read pretty much everything from sci fi to sweet romance to futuristic bdsm.  However, do keep in mind that most people who visit my blog are erotic romance readers.

Interviews are on a first come first serve basis.

I hope to hear from you!

Much love,

Sue

Six Sentence Sunday ~ 2/19/2012

Today's six sentences come from one of my many WIPs.  Right now the working title for this one is To Love a Viper, but I'm still not 100% sure about it yet.

"Alice squinted in mock anger and kicked him lightly under the table.  “This is the last time I try giving you advice, Andy Steele.”  With a wicked look, Andy retaliated by kicking off her shoe.
Oh God, what am I doing?  I won’t fall for Andy again . . . I won’t.  She wanted to be angry for all the times he’d ruined her fun, but she couldn’t help focusing on the newly discovered gold flecks in his sometimes stern blue eyes."

Hope you enjoyed that sample.  Thanks for stopping by!

Valentine Submission by Sue Lyndon ~ Free on Amazon until 2/12/12!

I'm pleased to share with everyone that my erotic romance novelette, Valentine Submission, is free on Amazon right now!

The synopsis of the story is as follows:

He's the man of her dreams . . . and he's a Dom.

Desperate for some peace and quiet after an ugly divorce, Anne escapes to the beach for an impromptu vacation. But instead of r&r, she finds unexpected passion in the arms of a longtime friend, Jack, who happens to be a widowed Dom. Anne is open to his lifestyle and asks him to teach her submission. But when she realizes she's lost her heart to him, things get complicated. Not only is she due back at her job in two weeks, but she fears competing with the memory of Jack's wife. Maybe it's not meant to be.

Anne's sweet submissive nature brings the Dom in Jack to life, and he finds the first happiness he's known in a long time. He plans a special surprise for her in his playroom on Valentine's Day - only to discover she's left without saying goodbye. The chase is on. If Anne thought she could leave him that easily, she'd better think twice...

What's that? You want an excerpt? Okay, here's one:

" He moved towards her slowly, not once looking away. His expression softened and he placed his hands gently on her shoulders. “Patrick and the bimbo are outside. They just pulled up.”

Anne gasped and tried to speak, but Jack interrupted.

“I’m going to get rid of them, but I want you to stay here.”

“Screw that! I’m not hiding here like some wimpy little – ”

“Enough,” he said softly, but with authority. “I will get rid of him. Trust me. Now I want you to promise to stay here in the kitchen.”

Anne narrowed her eyebrows and resisted the urge to push Jack away. She wanted nothing more than to storm outside and tell Patrick and Ms. Boobs to die and go to hell, but she also had a sudden and overwhelming desire to please Jack. He would chase them away, and save her some pain in the process.

“Promise,” he said, raising an eyebrow at her as if daring her to defy him.

His firm tone and his nearness caused a delightful shiver to course down her spine, stopping right at her – Oh, God. She pushed the feeling away and sagged her shoulders in defeat. “Okay, fine, I promise.”

He brushed a hand along her jaw. “Good girl."

A moment later, he was gone. Anne had nothing to do but wait and examine her emotions. It was great to not feel so numb anymore, but man oh man was she in trouble. If she started something with Jack, it would be a bumpy ride of a relationship. She was on the rebound and he hadn’t dated anyone since his wife’s death. Not only that, but Anne had been good friends with Penny. They’d shared a lot of secrets, and Anne knew more about Jack’s sexual preferences than he probably realized. She wasn’t turned off by these preferences, but she felt sexually inadequate and oh so vanilla – a word Penny had taught her.

Dom. That’s what Jack was, and Penny had been his sub. They’d seemed like the happiest couple she’d ever known, perfectly normal, and she would’ve never guessed they were into BDSM until Penny told her. Anne had been overly curious about a locked room in the basement, and Penny had finally broken down and admitted it was their soundproof playroom, even giving her a small tour. Anne, of course, being about as na├»ve as she was vanilla, had asked Penny lots of questions and found their D/s relationship intriguing.

Her cheek still burned where Jack had touched her, but it was a good kind of burn. She couldn’t wait until he touched her again, no matter how casual the circumstance. She looked at the hot chocolate and frowned. The drinks were getting cold. She opened the microwave and placed the mugs inside for later and sat down on a bar stool, waiting.

She heard raised voices and clenched her fists at her side. God, all she wanted to do was run outside and rip Patrick’s head off. Or maybe back over him with her little red car. She wondered if Patrick planned to marry the blonde bimbo, but then realized she didn’t care one way or the other. She also wondered how large Tits McGee’s stomach was. The rumors around town led Anne to believe she was ready to pop any day now. It was pretty careless of Patrick to drive four hours from home this close to her due date. Despite outward appearances, he’d never been the sharpest tool in the shed.

She cocked her head, listening. The loud voices had silenced and she heard a car start and the crunching of gravel under tires.

Jack. Her heart pounded and pounded. She leapt off the stool and pressed the minute button on the microwave. She turned to see his tall, bulky form standing in the doorway, a triumphant gleam in his eye.
“That was some yelling I heard,” Anne teased.

Jack chuckled. “It was all Patrick. He acts like a kid having a tantrum when he doesn’t get his way. He recognized your car and realized whose side I’ve taken. He seemed to think we were still friends, but I set him straight. He won’t be back.”

The microwave beeped, but Anne ignored it. Instead, she approached Jack, intending to thank him. But her throat tightened and burned, and her “thank you” came out in a raspy whisper.

Jack stepped closer and his eyes darkened strangely. It took her a moment to realize it was desire darkening his eyes so, and she swallowed hard. The room abruptly filled with a thick tension that made breathing difficult for Anne. It was too fast. She’d been here for less than two hours, and she suddenly felt the same wonderful high she got from doing something dangerous.

When he cupped her face between his calloused but gentle hands, she thought she would melt at his feet. He glanced at her lips and then looked at her with a strength that drove warmth through her center, and liquid desire shot straight between her thighs. She was in so much trouble. He leaned closer. “I know this might be bad timing, Anne, but if I don’t kiss you right now, I think I might die.”

Frozen in time, she nodded and waited for his lips to descend to hers. The moment he captured her mouth in his, she closed her eyes and let desire guide the way. She welcomed his tongue inside, and his hard body pressing against her. He set the pace of the kiss, exploring her mouth with tenderness, but controlling the kiss with a power that left Anne’s fingers and toes tingling and her heart racing faster and faster. "
