What happens if you're naughty?

Today's six sentences come from A Firm Husband.  I'm working on the sequel right now, but I gave myself a headache trying to find six sentences from my WIP that tied together nicely, so the following excerpt comes from the chapter Mattie and Henry had in A Firm Husband.

In the following scene, Henry has just asked Mattie what happens if she doesn't apologize to Clara.

“I – I get a spanking,” she whispered, looking down.

Henry reached forward, lifting her chin up.  “That’s right, Matilda Riley.  You get a spanking on your bare bottom, a very long spanking.”  He stepped forward, and Mattie felt even more vulnerable.  “Is your bottom sore?"

The working title for the sequel to A Firm Husband is A Strict Husband and it's Mattie and Henry's story, though the characters from the first book will make a brief appearance:)

A Firm Husband is available on Amazon, Amazon UK, Barnes and Noble, and Blushing Books.

Interview with Jade Cary, Author of To Love a Woman

Please welcome the talented Jade Cary to my blog today!  She’s here to answer a few questions and talk about her latest release, To Love a Woman.

Sue Lyndon:  Jade, tell us how you got started writing.  Did you start out writing spanking fiction, or did you experiment with other genres first?

Jade Cary:  I actually started by writing fan fiction. Then I wrote a crime novel under another name. I also started experimenting with stories with a TTWD bent. It took me a long time to start sharing my work with others.

Sue Lyndon:  Tell us a little bit about your newest release.

Jade Cary:  My newest release is call To Love a Woman, and it’s a love story between an older woman and a younger man. The story was inspired by a family member who pursued, and caught, a woman his mother’s age, and they had a wonderful romance. I avoided the ‘cougar’ theme. I think it’s been done enough. I wanted the older woman to be the one being pursued.

Sue Lyndon:  Where can readers find your newest release?

Jade Cary:  All my books can be found on Amazon, Amazon UK, Barnes and Nobel, and Allromance.

Sue Lyndon:  Do you listen to music while you write?

Jade Cary:  I do, and it depends on the story. For The Point of it All, my first one, I listened to Anthony Hamilton exclusively. I love R&B, I love anything with a sexy rhythm, so I’ll listen to music a lot, especially if I’m writing a love scene.

Sue Lyndon:  Are you open with your family and friends about your naughty writing activities?

Jade Cary:  Somewhat. I have kids so I have to be careful.

Sue Lyndon:Tell us about your upcoming projects.

Jade Cary:  I have a few irons in the fire, but it is too premature to talk about them.

Sue Lyndon:  Where can others find you?

Jade Cary:

Sue Lyndon:  Is there anything else you’d like to share with readers?

Jade Cary:  My first book, The Point of it All can also be found on Amazon, Amazon UK, Barnes and Noble, and Allromance. Thanks for the chat, Sue.

I signed with LazyDay Publishing!

Wonderful news! I recently signed a contract with LazyDay Publishing for my erotic romance novella Rules of War.  I couldn't be more thrilled, especially since LazyDay has published some of my favorite authors like Alta Hensley and Jade Cary.  Being in their company is a fantastic feeling:)

Rules of War is a spanking romance with a touch of bdsm that takes place in a war-torn United States after the Americans and their enemies, the Free Islanders, come to a stalemate. The Free Islanders are the descendants of rich Americans who live on a chain of twelve manmade islands in the Atlantic, so as the story begins the US is in chaos. My heroine, an American named Emma, is rescued from a collapsed building, by the hero, a Free Island soldier named John. Okay, enough set up:) Here's an excerpt:

The first thing Emma noticed, besides the fact that she couldn’t open her eyes, was the steady movement and hum of an automobile beneath her back. A moan escaped her throat and a sharp pain shot through her head when she rolled to the side.

“Easy,” a deep voice said.

Ignoring the pain, she forced her eyes open and tried to focus on the blurred face hovering above. Her mouth felt dry and her chest burned like wildfire with each breath. Vaguely, she recalled the explosions and smoke and struggling on the stairwell. By some miracle she’d survived. She had the distinct impression the man with the deep voice was responsible for her rescue. Hope surged through her aching limbs. Maybe he was an American soldier and the government hadn’t fallen completely.

“Breathing is going to hurt for a while, but you’ll live, princess.” The voice rumbled through her center and gave her a sense of security. “Don’t try to speak yet.”

“W – Water,” she gasped out, disregarding his order. Her vision came into focus at that moment and met with stormy blue eyes. Cold terror skated down her spine when she noticed his green Free Island uniform. No!

She’d fallen into enemy hands.

Rules of War will be released in January 2013.

Milly Taiden: My Dream Harem – 13 Men – Real or Fake – I’d Have as My Own Dream Team

I'm so excited to welcome Milly Taiden to my blog today!  She's guest blogging about her dream harem (can I just say I LOVE the men on this list?) and she's also sharing the details of her hot new release, Sharp Change (Black Meadow Pack).

Milly is also giving away a $10 Amazon giftcard to a random commenter.  The contest runs until midnight Friday 9/21/12. :)

Take it away, Milly...

My Dream Harem – 13 Men – Real or Fake – I’d Have as My Own Dream Team

So my absolutely awesome BFF gave me the idea for this blog post. My dream harem. The reason I thought it was great was because she’s written so many awesome men and I’m constantly asking her if I can have the main for myself. Then I mentioned how I need my own harem. So here I am creating my very own harem.  We’ll count down to the top 13 choices to be in my dream team.

13 – Niol – Cynthia Eden’s Midnight Master – Oh lord. Can you say BIG, BAD, SEXY!!! That character just makes want to be bad so he can tie me up and spank me. Heck, if I would BEG him to do it if necessary. I love Niol!!
12 – George Clooney – Will always be one of my favorites. He’s older, and sexier.
11 – Hugh Jackman – Wolverine? Come on! He can slice off my clothes and go all X-Men wild any time he wants!
10 – Mark Wahlberg – Marky Mark is always going to be the sexy guy that showed off his undies for Calvin Klein. He’s older, sexier and I would take him for my harem in a heartbeat!
9 – Gerard Butler – Because he ROCKED in 300 and kicked ass in every other movie I’ve seen him in. That man is one fine actor.
8 – Alcide – True Blood – I (self-proclaimed wolf lover) hereby claim he’s THE hottest werewolf I’ve seen. He can mate me any day (sorry hubby). I’ll take his sexy muscled wolf and turn him into my very own pet.
7 – Brad Pitt – Because there will never be a sexier vampire than the one he played in Interview with the Vampire. Brad can suck me dry any day of the week.
6 – Darce – Mina Carter’s sidekick in Perfect Mate – Oh lawd that man is hot. And sarcastic and witty and so badass I want to spank him and strip him at the same time. Yes, I have issues lol.
5 – Tiger – Laurann Dohner’s New Species book – He’s big, he’s sexy and so hot you just want to lick him all over!
4 – Channing Tatum – Need I say more? Just look at him and you can see why.

3 – Ryan Gosling – That man won me over with The Notebook and there’s no going back!
2 – Leighton Gray – Mina Carter’s upcoming book Gray’s Girl. Based on my very own fantasy man rugby player and young stud, Richie Gray. I am in absolute cougar love with the 20 year old. Yes, I admit it. If I could grab him and tie him to my bed, he’d be in so much trouble!
1 – Vin Diesel – Oh the things I’d do to this big sexy man. The first one would be make him talk dirty to me all night long. Why? Because of that super sexy raspy voice!!! I swear I could spend the entire night listening to him and feeling on those sexy muscles. Mmmm.

All about Milly's new release, Sharp Change:
Only the hottest sex can cool a wolf in heat...

After her sister is bitten by a werewolf, geneticist Sophia Reece begins researching shape-shifters and isolates a gene she calls Furry Beast—FB for short. But in her excitement over her discovery—dancing in the lab is never a good idea—she has a teeny little accident with the samples, one canine, one feline, and winds up landing on the syringes, pointy side up.

Werewolf Chase is head over heels in lust with Sophia. He can’t stop thinking about the human’s sexy body or how badly he wants to get her naked. But she acts as if he has fleas. So why, all of a sudden, does she stare at him like a wolf in heat? And what smells like cat?

When she experiences her first mating heat, Sophia isn’t prepared for the new feelings she’s experiencing, and her secret desire for Chase refuses to remain under wraps. For Chase, this is his wildest fantasy come true—to finally get his hands on the curvy, caramel-skinned Latina. But when some serious predators come sniffing around her research, Sophia will have to find out what she’s really made of, and Chase will have to decide if he’s man—or wolf—enough to make things permanent...

Excerpt:
Chapter One

Holy hell!

She’d done it.

Sophia stared at the computer screen and couldn’t believe her eyes. Number and letter sequences in front of her drove her excitement. A slow sliver of fear raced up her spine when she thought of what could happen if the information got into the wrong hands, but it wasn’t enough to stop her from smiling ear to ear.

She’d finally singled out the particular chromosome in the DNA strand that made shape-shifters shift. This little baby was the hottest ticket in Shifterville. It’s what bonded with the rest of a person’s DNA and created the furry beast that lived inside them.

If it were a person she’d kiss it, hug it, probably spank it for being bad and making it so hard for her to find it. She grinned; she couldn’t help herself. Julia would be able to have a choice in life now after being attacked by a rogue werewolf the previous year.

The one positive outcome was that her sister had met River, the beta of his pack and her current husband. Talk about love at first bark. His animal had taken one look at her sister and had literally rolled over for her to pet his tummy. It was sweet and kind of creepy, considering how damn big he was in his wolf form.

River was a real nice guy too, but nothing beat freedom of choice in Sophia’s mind. He loved her sister and treated her better than any other man she’d ever been with, not to mention the man was absolutely gorgeous. Then there was his brother, the pack alpha.

Thoughts of Chase, the alpha of the Black Meadows pack, made her heart torpedo in her chest and rockets go off in her stomach. The better-than-a-sundae, delicious-looking man, with golden brown skin and enough muscles to share with his friends, turned her into a puddle of goo.

The man had so much sex appeal her girl parts were ready to lift a white flag in surrender just by looking at him. Even thinking of him made her tongue wag. Seeing him was like having your favorite desert and knowing you couldn’t eat it.

She was very aware of her physical appearance whenever he came around her. She was short, fat, and shy, and now that she’d hit thirty-two, she also felt old.

She had long ago given up on the idea of finding Mr. Right and had started focusing on Mr. Right Now. Unfortunately, that hadn’t worked out so well either. She ended up dating boring, geeky people, and sex tended to be nothing to write home about.

Shit, sex tended to be nothing she’d want to try again with any of those guys, having been responsible for her own orgasms for as long as she could remember. Heat crawled across her skin when she thought of the last guy she’d been with, Jake the Snake, before she’d moved to town. He was the reason she’d ended up looking for a new job.

He’d stolen her research and tried to pass it off as his own. Luckily, she always backed up her work with multiple copies and had months of data to prove the work was hers.

She blinked and squinted tired eyes, then rubbed cold fingers under her rimless glasses, drawing in a deep breath. A burst of energy rushed through her blood when she thought of what she’d just accomplished. Exhilaration made up for the lack of sleep. She’d been burning the candle at both ends working and doing her own private research.

She swatted away the guilt that tapped her shoulder over using the lab resources for her own experiment. Too much depended on the results of her first test to worry about being found out. And if she was—oh well, they did encourage “groundbreaking” and “outside the box” research.

Her sister Julia would have kittens if she knew. Or should she say puppies, now that Julia was a wolf shifter? The woman had been a straight pain before, but now that she had a dramatic animal inside, she’d taken theatrics to a whole new level. Her tears could appear and disappear faster than Superman at the scene of a crime.

As the older sister, Julia always wanted to take care of Sophia, so two years ago Julia had packed up her life and moved with Sophia to the town of Black Meadows.

Black Meadows was by no means a small town, but with only the research facility and a car plant, it was easy to see people as either scientists or engineers. Then there were the blue-collar plant workers and the small-business owners.

Looking through the microscope at the samples of the particularly special FB chromosome, Sophia had to smile. Yes, she had called the chromosome Furry Beast. It was her special way of keeping herself from losing her mind after working on this for what felt like forever.

Finally she’d pulled a sample of DNA from both sets of shifters and created a pure chromosome strand of cat and wolf. A slow smile slid across her face. She could swear she heard birds chirping and a Hallelujah Chorus above her head while she stared through the small eyepiece of her microscope.

“Goddamn, I fucking rock!” Laughter and excitement unlike any she’d ever experienced, not including meeting man-candy Chase, popped and fizzled through her until she was bouncing on her stool, grinning like a fool.

Now that she thought of man-candy Chase, her brain did the usual X-rated stripping of those rock-hard limbs. Mmm, man-candy Chase… He was her biggest temptation. If she had an affliction it was called Furry Beast Alpha, or FBA for short.

Side effects included, but were not limited to: making a woman stop, stare, and drool on the spot; panties somehow finding themselves off and thrown his way; and finally, if said subject were to smile, blacking out from sudden excitement.

She was still unable to figure out how one minute he could be smiling at her, and the next she would be sitting down on a chair counting fuzzy bunnies running across her field of vision.

Thank goodness she still hadn’t gone as far as the panty throwing, but she was tempted…God, she was tempted. Every single time she got near him, her hands itched to tear off the little slip of lace, wave her arm in the air, and yell “pick me, pick me!”

She giggled and bounced in her seat, causing her short hair to tickle the nape of her neck. Looking to celebrate, she turned on the radio at her desk to some dance mix. She stood up and stretched, lifting her white T-shirt in the process and showing her softly rounded belly. All alone in the lab, she didn’t care if she showed some skin.

Her full breasts strained against the cotton while her stonewashed jeans clung lovingly to her generous hips. When she bent down to stretch her back, the move made her jeans ride low, and cold air caressed her lower back enough to show off the one thing she had ever done to be wild—a tattoo of a pink and purple fairy on her upper right cheek. Thankfully, there was no one around to see that.

She started singing along completely off-key to some song that talked about being sexy and knowing it. Snorting to herself, she knew even singing it was a lie. There were no feelings of sexiness anywhere in her—they only happened when FBA was around.

She pulled out two syringes, filled each with both werecat and werewolf chromosome, and laid them on the small collection tube tray. She sang louder as she moved. It wasn’t like there was anyone around to hear her sad attempt at singing.

She needed to find her special vials so she wouldn’t confuse these specimens with any of her other samples. She put away the older mixed strands she wasn’t actively using in the cold storage only she had access to.

Because she was the head of the genetics department, she was allowed her own work space. It also meant she got a big lab to use for her research. Other than equipment and coded papers, the place was kept immaculate. Large and small machines were strategically placed to make the move of samples from one to the other quick and efficient, along with multiple computers and printers.

The lab was also really cold. Goose bumps broke on her caramel skin as she thought of the heater sitting by her desk. Outside the weather was beautiful, but an iceberg lived inside the building.

She knew complaining would do nothing, since the best way to keep instruments from growing bacteria was to keep them cold. She would have to go to her office, which was located right next door, to write her notes before she left, so at least there she’d be warm.

Bopping to the music, she was careful of the extension cable that crossed the floor. She’d used all the electrical plugs by her computer, so she’d run an extension cord to power the amplification machine.

Holding her precious tray of sharps, she walked toward her other metal table to get to her special colored vials.

Shaking her hips, she lifted one sneaker over the white cord and then the other. The cord caught on her right foot.

What came next she would later tell herself was due to her own stupidity at trying to sing, dance, and walk when she was not as coordinated as she liked to think.

Falling forward in a sickening loss off balance, she saw the floor rush up to meet her face. Instinctively she let go of the tray to stick her hands out and break her fall. Everything around her narrowed to just the sound of her breathing. Distantly, she heard the metal tray clatter across the concrete floor, and she landed on top of it.

Something stabbed her between her breasts.

She winced and picked herself up off the floor. The damn underwire in her bra, it always tended to break through the casing. She wouldn’t have bothered with them if they didn’t make her breasts look so lingerie-catalog good.

“Ouch, dammit!” Looking down at the tray, she saw that the sharps were not on the floor. Panic seized her, and sharp blades of terror stabbed her gut while she scanned the ground. A pinching sensation in her chest drew her attention to where the two long sharps dangled from the area between her breasts.

Icy fear numbed her brain and lodged in her throat, making it impossible for her to breathe. Frantic, she pulled the two long needles out carefully and examined the amount in each.

There was a minute amount missing from each of them.

A panicked scream wrenched out of her. Her first thought was to take a blood sample and check for any alterations in her DNA. After a second thought and some frenzied breathing, she decided a few days of wait were probably best. No notable change would show up straight away if there was a delayed reaction. If there had been any life altering changes to her DNA, she would see it for sure in a few days.

Tears of frustration filled her eyes. Had she destroyed all her hard work with a stupid accident? She’d have to wait until Monday when she returned to the lab to run tests, unless there were any strange occurrences sooner.

Her stomach churned at the thought of her foolishness, but there was not much she could do other than wait and see. She stood, carefully grabbed the two vials with shaky hands, and stored her previously untainted samples.

She secured her storage freezer with her fingerprint and voice, which turned on the double-locked safe. There was no way in hell she was going to take any chances with what was in there. It was a good thing the freezer was made of the thickest metal out there and resembled a bank vault.

She headed for her office. Her previous happiness turned into a desolate sense of impending doom when she thought of the notes she would have to write to detail the calamity from that night. Then she would head home for a nice long soak and finally catch up on much needed sleep. She was going to get the rest she’d denied herself for the past long months.

Sleeping with the enemy...

Today's six sentences come from my upcoming sci fi BDSM romance release, Surrender (Alien Warriors 1).  In this scene, the hero is leading the heroine to their marriage bed for the first time and a million doubts are racing through her mind.

The war.  The bloodshed.  If he and his fellow Kall warriors hadn’t come to Earth in their ships, Fiona would be at home with her mother in New York, probably watching Jeopardy right about now.  Her hometown was gone though, blown to bits – or so she’d heard.  Her friends were either dead or scattered.  And Fiona was about to take the phrase sleeping with the enemy to a whole new level.

Interview with Liz Adams - Author of Adult Fairy Tales

Please welcome the talented Liz Adams to my blog today!  She's here to answer a few questions and talk about her smoking hot adult fairy tales.

Sue Lyndon:  Liz, what inspired you to start writing?
Liz Adams:  When I was 14, my girlfriend and I found a dirty newspaper in the bushes. She and I returned to her house and giggled over the pictures of naked women. But when she read aloud some of the letters of men's fantasies, more than just my face got hot! She was gracious enough to let me keep the paper. That is, I pulled it out of her trash can when she wasn't looking. When I think back on it, she made such a show of throwing it away, she was probably going to retrieve it from the trash herself after I left! Anyhow, I really wore that newspaper down as I read those letters over and over. I finally tried writing out my own fantasies when I was 16. About a year later, I sent one to Penthouse Forum and it was published! I was so excited, I decided to work hard at improving my writing so I took up creative writing in UCLA.
Sue Lyndon:  If you could be the heroine in one of your own books, who would it be and why?
Liz Adams:  That would have to be Alice in my erotic version of Alice in Wonderland. I wrote most of my fantasies in that novella. All the naked men, the tasting, the touching, the licking, the thrusting, the long and thick of it, I put those dreamy images in Alice’s Sexual Discovery in a Wonderful Land.
Sue Lyndon:  Do you write under a pen name?  If so, who knows about your naughty writing activities?
Liz Adams:  Liz Adams is indeed my pen name. My book coaches, Beth and Ezra Barany (an amazing husband and wife team), suggested I have a pen name for a few reasons. In case I ever publish in a different genre, as I plan to do one day, it’s good to keep the erotica genre under a separate name. Also, it helps with avoiding stalkers (heh, heh). As to who knows about my naughty writing, I’m fortunate enough to have a supportive family. They all know about what I write. Even my parents. They would never read my erotica, though!
Sue Lyndon:  Tell us a little bit about your newest release.

Liz Adams:  One of my most recent releases is an erotic version of Red Riding Hood, a short story. It’s adult fairy tale erotica meets Romeo and Juliet, where the love between a young woman and a werewolf is forbidden. Amy “Red” Riding is tired of being a virgin. Her best bet is a lycan named Sean. He’s perfect. Crystal blue eyes, dimpled smile, buff chest, and wicked bulge! But being in a community that frowns upon human-lycan relationships makes loving Sean more challenging than she ever imagined.

When it came to writing the forbidden love between Amy and Sean, I pictured the American attitude for love between a white woman and a black man before the civil rights movement. I asked my family what the common excuses were back then for why blacks had to be treated the way they were treated. I then incorporated those expressions like “everyone has their own place, blacks have their place, whites have theirs” into my fiction. I had one reviewer say how refreshing it was to read about a couple fighting for their love instead of against it.  What’s so exciting is that a group on Goodreads, Kinky World, has voted this short story to be their Book of the Month in October, 2012. My excerpt is down below.
J
Sue Lyndon:  Where can readers find your newest release?
Liz Adams:  The best place to find Amy “Red” Riding’s Hood is on Amazon. Http://amzn.to/EroticRedRidingHood.
My erotic version of Alice in Wonderland is at http://amzn.to/AlicesSexualDiscovery.
Sue Lyndon:  Tell us about your upcoming writing projects.
Liz Adams:  I intend to write an erotic version of Alice Through the Looking Glass. I’m quite excited how that will turn out. Alice will gain X-ray vision (from having hit her head in the fall from the first book). Feeling like she can’t see her own soul as well as others who care about her do, she uses her X-ray vision while looking at a mirror. Hoping to see inside her soul, she ends up transporting into the mirror world.
I also have outlined an erotic version of Goldilocks (working title is Goldie’s Locks). Goldie is a cunning thief who must resort to her skills of self-defense and persuasion to fight (and f**k) the bearish men who discover her.
Excerpt from Amy “Red” Riding’s Hood:
Four weeks ago she sought out to charm Sean at his farm, and found him working shirtless. He was stroking the earth with a hoe, his biceps flexing, a lock of his dark hair arcing over his forehead. Thunderballs! I could watch him forever. After taking a moment to hungrily watch the muscles in his back ripple in the warm sun, she finally called out his name from the road where she stood and waved.
“Well, if it isn’t my old childhood playmate.” He stopped his work and leaned on the hoe, a half-smile slipping across his handsome face.
Without hesitation, Amy sprinted to him across the tender earth and hugged him something fierce. Sean! She sighed in her heart. His hot, solid body pressed against her breasts. The naked skin of his back warm against her arms and palms, the scent of his manly sweat, she didn’t want to let go. He didn’t let go, either. At least, not at first. His strong arms felt good wrapped tight around her body.
He ended their embrace, leaned back to look her in the face and spoke in his deep voice, “Why, Miss Amy Riding, you’re getting prettier and prettier every time I see you.”
She felt her cheeks heat up. “That’s hard to believe considering I often run into you in town.”
“I look forward to those moments, Red. It’s always fun talking to you.” He squeezed her shoulder.
“Why wait? You should come visit me.” She gripped his muscular forearm and smirked. She didn’t think it would be appropriate to add: “I want to get to know those crystal blue eyes, dimpled smile, buff chest, and – wicked bulge of yours.”
“I don’t think your parents would like that very much. Remember when we were kids playing innocent games of hide and seek? As soon as they found out you were spending your playtime in the lycan community, they took you away and I didn’t see you again for seasons.” He took her hand in his.
“I remember.” She playfully swung their hands. “They worked hard at trying to explain what was so wrong with lycans. Forget my parents. I’m not a child anymore.”
“I can see that,” Sean’s eyes traced up and down her body. Amy shivered in delight. “Still, it’s good to respect your parents’ wishes.”
Amy shrugged. “So come at night after they’re asleep. You can come through my bedroom window.” Amy thought it cute how he blushed at the mention of her bedroom.
“Your bedroom? That is, I…uh.... Anyway, aren’t you on the second floor?”
“You can climb, Sean. It’s not that hard.”
“No, but it’s starting to be.”
Now it was her turn to blush. She gulped. “Oh, you are bad.”
“That’s me. The big, bad wolf.”
Her heart fluttered. She felt wet and giddy already. “I have yet to see just how big you are.”
Now who’s being bad?” He tickled her sides. She pulled away laughing.

Interview with Sharon Kleve, Author of The Corny Myers Series

Sue Lyndon: Hi, Sharon! Tell us a little bit about your newest release.

Sharon Kleve: Klutzy Love is a Paranormal Romance and the third book in the Corny Myers Series. It takes you back to when Corny and Steve first meet.

Corny is a hot chick with a great job that she loves. All that changed in the blink of an eye when her boss had an accident involving an oversized rubber band. She’s still a hot chick, but her boss is dead.

Steve Spears is a seasoned narcotics cop who ends up wanting to strangle Corny on a regular basis. After finding out Corny’s dream of opening a pet detective business, he decides he doesn’t want a girlfriend who routinely puts herself in danger. That’s his job!

Corny misses Steve, but she’s getting on with her life. She decides to get a month’s worth of dating out of the way in a single night, by combining her three favorite things—men, food, and alcohol.

Steve’s big gun and cop’s intuition saves Corny’s life, but not from another trip to the emergency room. He makes Corny promise never to get hurt again—she agreed, but has her fingers crossed behind her back.

Sue Lyndon: Where can readers find your newest release?

Sharon Kleve: Klutzy Love is available on
Amazon, Amazon UK, Barnes and Noble, and Smashwords.

Sue Lyndon: If you could be the hero/heroine in any novel, who would it be and why?

Sharon Kleve: I'd love to be Janet Evanovich's Stephanie Plum. To have two sexy, dangerous men like Joe Morelli and Ranger fighting over me would a girls dream.

My heroine in The Corny Myer Series is similar to Stephanie Plum, but with a psychic twist. She speaks to animals.

Sue Lyndon:  Do you like to listen to music while you write?

Sharon Kleve: Yes, I absolutely have to have music on while I write. I still have a day job and even there I have a small radio that I keep on low while I work. I have very eclectic taste in music. I like to write to Lady Gaga, Katy Perry, Madonna, and Taylor Swift. I love pop music from the 60's, and 70's like Atlanta Rhythm Section 'So In To You' and Bobby Bloom 'Montego Bay'.

Sue Lyndon: Coffee or tea?

Sharon Kleve: I'm a Starbucks snob, through and through. (Double, tall, soy, latte)

Sue Lyndon: What inspired you to start writing?

Sharon Kleve: Well, because the little voices in my head tell me to—seriously, I’ve always talked to myself—now I put the voices on paper.

I was a late bloomer and didn’t start my love of reading until I was in my twenties and then I couldn’t get enough of the wonderfully, smutty Harlequin books with really sexy hot guys on the cover.

I’ve worked in the government sector for fifteen years and always dreamed of having a job that I could work from home. This crazy idea came to me one night, after reading a particularly sizzling romance. Why not try my hand at writing one? So, out of the blue I told my husband I was going to write a Harlequin novel. He said, “Okay.”

I figured I’d read enough of them, I could write one—no problem. Eight thousand words later; I realized it was harder than I thought. I also realized, I wasn’t writing what I was most comfortable with—animals.

I put my Harlequin attempt on the back burner and started writing “The Boss from Hell”. My boss, who I adored, had been fired and his replacement was a living-terror. It was really easy to come up with material to write about and of course I threw in a bunch of romance and of course animals. Ninety thousand words later I was still optimistic that I could write for a living, but I’d need a lot of support, my cat couldn’t give me. The support came in the form of Romance Writers of America and all the people involved in the local chapter.

Several of the members of my local chapter read my book and made numerous suggestions, one of them came from an independent publisher—Books to Go Now. She told me to put the novel aside for now and try my hand at a short story. That’s where I incorporated the paranormal aspect to my writing and it really clicked for me.

I submitted ‘Flamingo Blues’, as a Christmas short story to Books to Go Now and I was offered my first contract. ‘Be Mine’, a Valentine short story, is book two of ‘The Corny Meyers Series’ and in addition to a contract, I won the holiday contest too. Woo hoo! Klutzy Love is book three of ‘The Corny Myers Series’, which came out in August 2012.

That's why I started writing….

She's nervous but aroused by the promise of a spanking...

Today's six sentences come from Punished by the Cowboy, my erotic short story due out next month with Etopia Press.  It'll be included in the Halloween Erotic Anthology and will also be released as a stand alone.  In this story, the heroine meets the hero in an online dating community that caters to people with a spanking fetish.  And let's just say they have an eventful first date:)

The beautiful petite woman squirmed in her seat as she twirled one braid around her fingers in a nervous fashion. And she had plenty of reason to be nervous.

Jacob moved around the table toward Elizabeth and folded his arms across his chest, causing her to sink lower in her chair. The contrast of her pleading blue eyes against her silky black hair and dark skin was startling, and he'd found it difficult not to gawk at her all evening. The fringes decorating the breast of her shirt reflected in the light as her chest rose and fell in little puffs. The promise of a spanking had her aroused.

Interview with Renee Rose - inside the mind of a spanking fiction author

Please welcome spanking fiction author Renee Rose to my blog today.  She's here to share a bit about herself and talk about her latest release, Deathless Love.

Sue Lyndon:  Renee, tell us how you got started writing.  Did you start out writing spanking fiction, or did you experiment with other genres first?

Renee Rose:  I started off writing a straight romance, editing out the spankings that showed up in my head.  Then I discovered there was a spanking fiction genre and I heard the angels singing!  Right now I'm trying to see if that first manuscript can be converted back into spanking fiction.  There might be too much “non-spanko” plot in it, though... I fear it would be too long.

Sue Lyndon:  Tell us a little bit about your newest release.
Renee Rose:  Deathless Love is about a local rock singer/closet spanko who gets involved with the owner of the club where she sings.  He is a perfect dominant to her, bringing all her fantasies to reality until the fact that he's a vampire seriously complicates their relationship.
Here's a little snippet:

“Dom, I wasn't testing you, I swear!”

“I believe you, bambina. But I still have to spank you.”

She gave him her best puppy dog eyes. “You don't have to spank me.”

He smirked. “Yes, I do. It will help you remember next time. Now, be a good girl and take off your clothes.”

She sat on the bed feeling defeated. “I don't want to be spanked, Dom!”

“That's the bitch of it, isn't it?” he said lightly. “Come on, if I have to strip you and put you in position, I am going to make your butt even sorrier than it's going to be.”

Her belly flipped again. She scrambled off the bed and pulled off the t-shirt and boxer briefs she had borrowed from Dom since she didn't have a change of clothes there. Dom patted his knee. She went reluctantly to him and he guided her gently over his lap.

“Did you read any of those blogs?” he asked.

Odd time to start a conversation. “Ye-es.” she said from her muffled position.

“I learned all kinds of ways to spank you better. You gotta love the internet, right?” With that, he started spanking, still conversing with her as if they were sitting down over a cup of coffee for a chat.

Sue Lyndon:  Where can readers find Deathless Love?

Sue Lyndon:  Do you listen to music while you write?  If so, who are you favorite artists?

Renee Rose:  I love music but I can't listen when I write because then I wouldn't hear the voices in my head.  <grin>

Sue Lyndon:  I assume you write under a pen name, as most erotic romance authors tend to do.  Are you open with your family and friends about your naughty writing activities?

Renee Rose:  I am horrible at keeping secrets!  I have told many friends-- I fear soon the whole town will know.  Egads, what will the other board members of the PTA say??  For family, I only told my dad.  My mom never, ever needs to find out... :)

Sue Lyndon:  Tell us about your upcoming projects.

Renee Rose:  I'm working on a regency, two medievals and brain storming an F/m sequel to Deathless Love.

Sue Lyndon:  Where can others find you?

Sue Lyndon:  Is there anything else you'd like to share with readers?

Renee Rose:  I love plantain chips and I'm getting fairly handy with a hula hoop.

The older, experienced Dom meets the young, inexperienced vanilla woman

I love to read about older men seducing younger, inexperienced women in erotic romance books.  Even better, I love to read about an older, experienced Dom who meets a young, inexperienced vanilla woman he can't get out of his head.  It's a trope I never seem to tire of, and I've written a few stories with this theme during the last year.  In my latest release, Tessa's Submission, the heroine is a twenty year old runaway who falls under the spell of her thirty-five year old employer, who happens to be an experienced Dom.

Here's an excerpt:

(Note:  Richard has just caught Tessa Googling his name and looking at pictures of him on the internet.)

“Maybe you didn’t hear me the first time, young lady. What are you doing?” Richard stood tall, glaring down at Tessa in disbelief. He’d expected the library to be empty at this hour, but instead he’d found the ripe temptation he’d been resisting for days gawking at pictures of him on the internet. Shirtless pictures, no less. This additional frustration fueled his annoyance.

She shrugged and looked at the floor. “I – I was curious about you. I’m sorry. Please don’t be mad.”

His shoulders relaxed as some of the tension drained out of him. It wasn’t fair to take his frustrations out on Tessa. God, why was she so young? He felt positively wicked as his eyes roved over her body. “I’m not mad,” he said. It wasn’t entirely the truth, but he wished to calm her fears. If she wasn’t comfortable around him, he didn’t stand a chance in hell with the lovely blonde goddess who’d unknowingly haunted his dreams all week.

“I’ll turn it off,” she offered, spinning back around to close the window and shut the computer down. After she accomplished this task, she rose up and met his eyes. “It’s late. I should get to bed.”

“Wait.” He grabbed her arm as she moved toward the door, reveling in the silky warmth of her bare skin under his fingers.

“Yes, Mr. Black?” Her voice wavered as she trembled under his touch.

“Why were you so curious about me?” The air in the room thinned as he awaited her response. She shifted to face him, holding his gaze for the longest while with a thoughtful look.

“You’ve been so kind to me these past few days – well, when you’re not bossing me around.” She blushed profusely. “I like you. I think you’re a nice man. But I only see you during meals and you never talk about your personal life. Curiosity got the best of me.”

He leaned forward and her breath hitched. “I’m not a nice man, Tessa.”

“I think you are,” she said, raising her chin. When he drew her closer with both hands, she didn’t resist.

“You have no idea the bad things I want to do to you.” His confession came out as a lusty rumble, and Tessa’s breathing quickened as she continued to stare into his eyes.

“What kind of things?” she whispered.

His lips brushed against her soft earlobe. “I want to tie you up and spank you. I want to make you beg. I want to fuck you until you scream. And other, much darker, dirtier things. Does that scare you, Tessa?” He leaned back to study her reaction. He saw disbelief, a hint of fear, confusion, and – to his delight – unbridled desire.

She fumbled. “I – I don’t know what to say.”

“Say what you’re thinking.”

“I’m thinking I’m kind of new at this, but I want you, Mr. Black.”

Kind of new at this? His eyes narrowed and he tilted her chin upwards. “Are you a virgin, Tessa?”

Laughter leapt from her throat, and Richard tightened his hold on her arms. He wanted an answer, and he didn’t find his question humorous. “I’m not a virgin,” she finally said, schooling her expression. “I’ve been with one other guy, but we only had sex twice.”

The idea of another man’s cock between Tessa’s thighs sent a surge of hot rage through Richard’s body. None of his previous conquests had affected him this way, and he was momentarily caught off-guard. “When?”

Her forehead wrinkled cutely as she appeared to ponder this question. “Um, about a year and a half ago. We didn’t date for very long. I caught him cheating.”

Well, that’s settled. Richard thanked the stars above she wasn’t a virgin. Before the night ended, he planned to fuck her six ways to Sunday. He still felt like a devil taking advantage of a na├»ve woman, but her lack of virginity made this escalating situation easier to live with, although his cock was telling the moral center of his brain to go jump off a cliff.

“He was an idiot,” Richard said, pressing his groin against her stomach. Tessa pushed back, causing him to moan. She smelled divine, her hair damp from a recent shower and the scent of body wash fresh on her skin.

“I know,” she replied, her eyes fixated on his mouth.

It was all the encouragement Richard needed. He captured her lips hard, exploring and tasting Tessa for the first time with a fervent, breathless kiss that left him hungry for more. His hands slid to cup her face, holding it in place as his tongue plunged deeper and he took control. Tessa melted into him, surrendering to his will as they joined in a dance as old as time. Still standing in the middle of the library, Richard gyrated his aching cock against her belly, and she rose up on her toes and jerked her hips forward. When she moaned into his mouth, his moral center took a nosedive off a high cliff, disappearing in a deep canyon. Sayonara.

He broke away, reluctantly. “Go lock the door.”

Tessa's Submission is the sequel to Valentine Submission, however both stories can stand alone and are available on Amazon, Amazon UK, Barnes and Noble, Smashwords, and Kobo.
