Saturday Spankings: Taking Hanna's temperature

Welcome to another week of Saturday Spankings!

This week I'm sharing an excerpt from Hanna's Awakening, aka the kinky Amish story I've been working on. In this scene, Ben is convinced Hanna is sick, but she tried to get away from him when he wanted to take her temperature (the normal way), and he's not happy he had to chase her down. Here's the beginning of the longest anal temperature taking scene I've ever written:

Smack! He brought his hand down sharply on her flesh, over and over. She gasped with each blow, but she didn’t attempt to rise up. Such a good girl, he thought. After a dozen strikes, he resumed massaging her buttocks with one hand while he reached for the Vaseline.

“Have you had your temperature taken this way before?” he asked.

“No.” She peered over her shoulder, watching as he uncapped the container.

Cover reveal - RULES OF COMMAND

I'm pleased to bring you the cover of Rules of Command...

I love it! Lazy Day did a wonderful job. I especially like the detail of the cabin behind John and Emma:)

Rules of Command is part sequel, part companion book to Rules of War. They are the same story, but Rules of Command is told completely from John's point of view. If you've read Rules of War, then you know it's told from Emma's point of view. There are some big differences between the two books though, including some extra scenes and an epilogue that takes place two years after the events in Rules of War.

Here's the blurb:

His prisoner...his wife...his passion.

Love is the last thing on Commander John Rousseau's mind when he claims an American woman as his wife. He's simply following orders - although he is drawn to Emma's soft skin and sweet nature, despite her outspoken reluctance to accept him as her husband. Determined to tame her, he promises to spank her for disobedience, and she soon finds out he's a man of his word.

As Emma comes to grips with her marriage to a strict Free Island soldier and struggles to obey his many rules, she finds her heart softening to him. John holds her at a distance at first, but as the passion between them flares, a deep intimacy and mutual trust takes root. An impending battle finally prompts confessions of love...but will it be too late for these unlikely lovers?

Rules of Command will release on June 5th.

*Rules of War is available now on Amazon US, Amazon UK, Barnes and Noble, All Romance, and Lazy Day Publishing.

Saturday Spankings: Lucy is waiting for a spanking

Saturday isn't just for sleeping in - it's for spankings, too!

Today I'm sharing another excerpt from "Confession Time", my short story that will appear in Coming to Terms, a domestic discipline anthology to release on May 15th. In the following scene, Lucy is waiting on James to come to the bedroom to deliver her very first maintenance spanking.

A pang of trepidation twisted her stomach again, traveling lower to cause her pussy to clench, an unexpected side effect of the impending spanking. Her pulse increased, her heart nearly thudding outside of her chest. She moved to stand in the center of the room, fidgeting with her hands in a nervous fashion. It amazed her that after five years of marriage, she could feel a sense of newness around James, the sort of newness that made her feel like a schoolgirl with butterflies in her tummy. A few weeks ago, they had begun to practice domestic discipline, and now every time she saw her husband, it felt like the first time. Like the day they first met at a party hosted by a mutual friend. Six years ago. The memory brought a smile to her lips.

The release of Coming to Terms is less than a month away! May 15th! Mark your calendars, people:)

Saturday Spankings: Aftercare in "Confession Time"

Welcome to Saturday Spankings - the only blog hop specializing in spanking stories!

The following eight sentences are from "Confession Time", my short story that will appear in Coming to Terms - an anthology full of domestic discipline stories due to release on May 15th.

The cries that filled the room tugged at his soul, and he sat next to her on the bed, caressing her back as her sobs subsided. When she had calmed down enough to rise up, he carried her to a huge rocking chair across the room. Minutes passed and he simply held her, loved her, and murmured comforting phrases into her ear. She buried her face in his chest, breathing heavily as the last of her sniffles ceased. She was shaking the way she always did after a punishment, but he knew it would end soon. The first time it had worried him, but he now understood it was part of her body’s normal reaction.

“Are you all right, Lucy? Talk to me, sweetheart."

The release of Coming to Terms is only about a month away. I can't wait!

Book Spotlight: Saving Taylor by Avery Dawes

Today I'm spotlighting Saving Taylor, a new m-m romance by Avery Dawes!

Saving Taylor blurb:

Bergen Klaus, a well-respected landscape architect, is over forty, single, and looking for love. He wants to explore an interest in a co-worker, except company policy frowns on inter-office relationships. Not to be deterred, Bergen devises a creative plan that allows him to come to Taylor’s rescue. But will it be enough to catch the younger man’s eye, and still allow him to make his intentions known without alerting the boss?

Taylor Prescott, a young interior designer, is dedicated to his job and oblivious to Bergen’s advances. Instead, Taylor is more than a little put off by the “gifts” that keep mysteriously popping up in his office. Can Taylor get past his insecurities to discover the truth of this office mystery? Will he be receptive to Bergen’s attempt at catching a boyfriend?

Bergen strode over and peered in the drawer. “Ah, indeed.” He frowned. “So you’re not a fan of creepy crawlies, Taylor?”

Not wanting the older, handsome man to see him cowering for a second time in as many weeks, Taylor straightened up and took a couple of hesitant steps toward the desk, trying to appear more self-assured. He didn’t want Bergen to think he was a wuss. “Not so much.”

Taylor felt a warm hand squeeze his shoulder. He liked the feel of Bergen’s hand. His touch was firm but not overpowering. “I can take care of it for you.” Bergen plucked the spider from the desk drawer and shoved it in his pocket.

“Thank you.” Taylor licked his lips while taking in the man’s eyes. He could get lost in their intensity. They projected compassion and maybe just a hint of desire. “I appreciate it.”

“No problem, Taylor.” Bergen gave him another squeeze before stepping back.

He wished Bergen would stay for a bit. He found the architect’s presence reassuring as though the man offered stability and strength. Taylor enjoyed the steady pulse of electricity that thrummed through his body whenever Bergen touched him, no matter how slight. As soon as Bergen released him, however, the connection ceased; Taylor found himself wanting.

Saturday Spankings: Her captor #SatSpanks

Welcome to another week of Saturday Spankings!

This week I'm sharing an excerpt from Rules of Command. In the following scene, John is pretty much dragging Emma to his chaplain's cabin so they can get married. And she's not too happy about that...

“We’re going to the chaplain’s cabin now.”

“This is insane,” she hissed, tugging on his hold.

He ached to quiet her anger and soothe her fears, but until they became better acquainted, doing so would not be easy. He tried to put himself in her place. In her eyes, he was a brute. A stranger. An enemy of her people. Worst of all, her captor.

Rules of Command will release on June 5th with Lazy Day Publishing. It's the story of Rules of War told completely from John's POV.

If you're interested in reading this story from the heroine's POV, Rules of War is available on Amazon US, Amazon UK, Barnes and Noble, All Romance, and Lazy Day Publishing.

Rules of War - April pick for Spanking Stories Book Club!

I have good news! Rules of War is the April selection for the Spanking Stories Book Club on Celeste's Jones' blog. A big thank you to Celeste for picking Rules of War, and I'm really looking forward to the book discussions! The book club meets each Friday on Celeste's blog, so tomorrow is the first meeting of this month. Anyone is welcome to participate...even if you haven't read the book yet:)

Oh and guess what? I signed a contract for Rules of Command with Lazy Day Publishing the other day. I'm not sure whether to call Rules of Command a sequel or a companion book to Rules of War, but it's the same story in Rules of War completely from John's POV. Rules of War is told from Emma's POV, so I thought it would be fun to delve more deeply into John's mind. There's some extra scenes in Rules of Command, plus an epilogue that shows what Emma and John are up to a few years after the end of Rules of War. Look for Rules of Command in June!

Rules of War blurb:

Can her greatest fear become her sweetest desire?

Emma Conrad's worst nightmare is realized when a bomb strikes her building and she awakens to discover she's been taken captive by a Free Island enemy soldier. Tensions and passions rise as she rebels against the man who has claimed her as his wife, whisking her away to a settlement in the mountains.

Unit Commander John Rousseau insists he's a good man Emma need not fear, but he does promise to spank her if she misbehaves...and he has lots of rules. Will she lose her heart to the stern stranger, or will a ghost from her past take away her last chance at happiness?

When he seated me on the edge of the chair nearest the fireplace and began to stoke the embers of the fire, I kept my eyes cast down. He made me nervous, those same nerves I felt once living under my father’s roof. No, I reminded myself again, not those nerves exactly. William told me I was beautiful so I know it’s not the same. He was nothing like my father though that tension –the tiny feeling of inadequacy I can’t quite shake- was so similar; I shied away from his gaze. Yet at the same time I craved William, his presence completely overwhelmed me.

He moved behind me, seated himself with his legs on either side of my body and pulled me down to him. My back to his front. My heat to his heat. My body to his body. I shivered, wanting nothing more than to be what he wanted me to be. I assured myself my desire to please was different this time. I was already pleasing William. He told me as much and I believed him. After all, I had to believe in something.

His fingers on my shoulders distracted me. “You’re so tense, sweet Aubrey. Won’t you just relax in my arms tonight?”

“I’ll try. I don’t relax often.”

“No, Aubrey. Your answer to me is yes, sir.”

“Yes sir,” the whisper floated from my lips on a sigh. It was such a certain response, it left no room for me to fail or disappoint. I found comfort in the statement and relaxed into his body.

“Good. Well done.” His affirmation bolstered my confidence. I’ve not received many compliments that I can recall and it felt nice. I couldn’t help but smile while the pride at such a simple act made my chest feel tight.

William aligned his body against mine so that I could feel him as part of myself. Then I realized he could feel every inch of me against him. He could feel my imperfections. I tensed, wondering what he’d think of me when he got a closer look. I was no longer overweight but now I was slight and never held any real beauty. When he realized this, my time with him will most likely end.

He molded my shoulders and back with his strong fingers. “Relax into me and let me took care of you,” William tickled my neck with his words and a tiny shiver ran along my spine.

“I thought it would be the other way around.”

I felt his laugh against my neck. “You think too much. Time for thinking was over. Now simply trust in me to take care of you.”

His warmth enveloped me. I was caught in him, absolutely ensnared by all that he was.
